Terms of Use

These service terms apply to Cuplikin for macOS. The Apple Standard End User License Agreement applies to the App Store software license.

1. Service overview

Cuplikin is a local-first desktop app for creating hook candidates, trimming video, editing captions, and exporting clips. Some functions run locally, while Cuplikin Cloud hosted analysis, authentication, the credit wallet, and URL resolver use backend services.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or start hosted features.

2. Accounts and security

Use an active email address and provide accurate information.

You are responsible for securing your device, password, and account sessions. Log out or contact support if you notice unfamiliar activity.

An account must not be used to evade limits, repeatedly obtain Free grants, or disrupt the service.

Cuplikin may restrict or revoke sessions when abuse, security risk, or a terms violation is detected.

3. Free credits, plans, and payments

Free accounts receive 50 free credits each monthly period anchored to their signup date. The balance resets to 50; unused free credits do not accumulate.

Hosted hook analysis defaults to 1 credit per started minute, with a 1-credit minimum and duration rounded up. The server provides the final estimate before confirmation.

Local analysis or your own provider does not use hosted-AI credits while it does not use Cuplikin's hosted infrastructure.

Free credits, Standard/Pro subscription credits, and paid top-up credits are accounted for separately. Usage is allocated to free credits, then subscription credits, then paid credits. Subscription credits follow the plan period allowance; top-up credits are not part of the monthly reset.

Allowance, capability, and pricing policies may change. Changes will be shown before a purchase or chargeable use.

4. Content and user rights

You retain rights to source videos, transcripts, projects, edits, and exported files. You grant Cuplikin limited permission to process data deliberately sent to hosted features only as needed to provide those features.

Only use media you own, license, that is in the public domain, or that you are explicitly allowed to use.

Do not use Cuplikin to bypass DRM, authentication, paywalls, geographic restrictions, browser cookies, or anti-bot mechanisms.

You are responsible for permissions involving music, faces, voices, brands, and third-party material before publishing results.

5. Local and hosted AI

Cuplikin provides different processing paths. Local/Built-in mode can work without sending video to the backend. When hosted analysis is selected, the app sends timestamped transcripts and required instructions—not source-video binaries, local paths, or exported files.

The hosted provider may change based on availability, model capability, and backend policy. Cuplikin shows the selected path so you can decide before starting.

6. Permitted use

Do not use Cuplikin for illegal activity, copyright infringement, harassment, exploitation, malware, unauthorized scraping, unapproved security testing, or disruption of the service or other users.

Do not share credentials, tokens, signed URLs, or internal access mechanisms. Automated activity must respect rate limits and available official integrations.

7. AI results and publishing

Virality ratings, hook recommendations, titles, captions, and AI results are creative aids and may be inaccurate. You remain responsible for reviewing timing, facts, usage rights, and suitability before saving or publishing them.

Cuplikin does not guarantee views, engagement, revenue, or acceptance by social platforms.

8. Termination and service changes

You may stop using the service or request account deletion. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed by the App Store, Play Store, or payment provider; cancellation must be completed with that provider.

Cuplikin may update capabilities, models, limits, or terms for security and product development. Material changes will be communicated in the app before they take effect.

Cuplikin is operated by Ghozi Mahdi. For account, credit, privacy, or deletion requests, open Settings → Help & Support or contact ghozi.dev@gmail.com. Deletion requests are handled after identity verification.
